I’m Keya. I love lip gloss!! It is the best beauty product I own… Ohhh wait the chaos….well I have 2 kids.. ages 8 and 15 and there you have it! All questions answered.

We are Our Own Normal household. We hug, we yell, we laugh, we fight, and we love each other. Now sometimes it’s hard to tell but we really do.  Oh yeah one more thing…I do cuss and it is what it is.

I like to bake stuff…like a lot….I like to think of myself as a homemade chef because I’m really good at reading recipes and following directions..unless the recipe calls for a bunch of crap that I don’t have, then I have to wing it. I’ve never made anyone sick from my cooking, so I guess that makes me a master chef  right??!!

I grew up in Southern California, the home of sunshine, earthquakes, and the best Mexican food ever! Like seriously So Cal is it when it comes to Mexican food.

I work full-time, which requires me drink a ton of coffee and green tea…and I drink a ton of water because I’m always thirsty for some bizarre reason.

I LOVE MOSCATO!!! It’s the only wine I like…does that make me a Moscato snob?? hmmm…

I’m all about a deal or coupon…promo code..you name it I do my best to try and save money on anything from laundry soap to soccer cleats.

I spend any free time doing DIY projects. I don’t have too much free time, but the minutes I’ve managed to steal in between tournaments, games, recitals, being a mom and WORK I’ve made benches, shelves, paintings, salvaged old furniture and a clock. Before you think I’m a Sandy Handy Man, just know I own the following tools:

  • Hot glue gun
  • Staple gun
  • Fabric scissors
  • Screw driver
  • Hammer
  • Drill
  • Oh and one of those cool Cricut Machines which I still haven’t figured out completely….

I keep the following materials on hand in the home:

  • Moscato
  • Spray Paint
  • Fabric Paint
  • Fabric scraps (you never know when you will need a cape or headband)
  • Paint tarps
  • Gloves
  • Nail polish
  • Coffee
  • Vinyl
  • Command tape

I have been meaning to start this blog, but I’ve been busy over the last 20 years, so now that it’s here, I hope you will enjoy it.
